For BYD, under increase of power batteries and new energy industry, form a certain scale of production capacity for power battery with help of Bishan project, and carry out application demonstration of new energy rail traffic.
For Bishan, new energy automobiles, intelligent connected vehicles and robots will be used in the area, which has a great influence on BYD project.
Why BYD selects Bishan?
During project implementation, both parties did not conduct smooth cooperation, but both parties are pleasantly surprised now.
We are impressed by Bishan team's persistence.
Four or five years ago, Bishan's business invitation team went to BYD for BYD power battery industry project.
Zeng Weibo, a member of Bishan's business invitation team, said that both parties did not carry out cooperation, because other person involved did not know where is Bishan.
BYD then was preparing to boost the installed capacity of battery and reform inherent internal supply model with ambitions, setting the gears in making a difference in the top trio of China, Japan, and South Korea. So, they have frequent contact with local investment attracting teams.
How does Bishan stand out? What attracts BYD most is the perseverance of Bishan investment attracting team.
A pertinent responsible person of BYD company said that the formal contact between Bishan and the company was at least over ten times every year, let alone the informal contact, in several years. "Investment attracting teams will find any chance possible to negotiate and communicate, and assist us to plan, demonstrate, and analyze the feasibility and advantage of projects proactively, even propose some questions we never consider before."

The experience of the "old buddy"
There is an "introducer" contributing to the BYD settling in Bishan -- DEREN Electronics. As a key partner of BYD, DEREN Electronics played an important role in the settlement of BYD project through its bridge function and truly recommendation.
DEREN Electronics has a subsidiary in Bishan -- Ruirun Electronics, only having tens of employees at its first entering in 2012, with the annual sales no more than millions of yuan. Luo Zhijun said, it is the overwhelming tendency to develop new-energy and intelligent network of automobiles in the future which is also the major deployment of Beijing and Chongqing, and the execution of Bishan towards pertinent decisions decides the basic flow of local industries. "There are three or four hundred traditional auto accessory enterprises in Bishan, whose total output value reaching 20 billion yuan, but they all face the transformation and upgrading. It is the best solution, though the driving by leading enterprises and the demonstration effect to lead them developing new-energy and intelligent network.
He Long introduced that after the completion of Bishan 20GWh power battery project, its capacity will reach one third of the total capacity of BYD, which is a lure to supporting enterprises. While, "Yunba" will drive other domestic places to investigate the application prospect and business opportunity here, forming an aggregation effect to promote local development and research, and production.
When it comes to the development pattern of new-energy automobile and supporting industry, Luo Zhijun said Bishan is the moon, also the star. Except introducing leading enterprises, Bishan welcomes "high-grade, precision and advanced" and long life cycle enterprises in the industry chain, as well.
In the future, Bishan will connect battery, motor, electric-control, finished automobile, and other industry chains to form a hundred-billion new-energy industry cluster.
